Renovation update...

We've been working hard the last few days and have made really good progress on the house. Here are a few pictures of where things are at.

This first one is Guinness helping us remove carpet from the dining room. He has been such a good dog through all these reno's. We were wondering if we might have to have him go stay with some friends for a few days, but he mostly just lies on his bed, coming to check in here and there for pets.
Here is the kitchen, making some major progress. I have all the painting done wherever there will not be cabinets. The base cabinets are all in place, and the custom corner sink cabinet is built and in place. The bonus is that my sink is even going to fit!!

This one is the latest picture of the kitchen. The island is all staged in place. The gables are all cut to size. The counter top guys are coming tomorrow to template, so we worked very hard today to get ready for them.

1st Weekend of Reno's

We started doing the major portion of the house renovations this weekend. Here is Tim working on where the wall used to be.
Here is our key worker... the black furry one :) Actually Guinness has been much better behaved than I dreamed. The first day he was baby-gated in the family room, much to his dismay. Today, he was free all day. He mostly stayed on his bed on the main floor.
Here is my "new" kitchen. lol... this will be our kitchen until we get the new cabinets installed, and the counter top guys get the new counter tops installed.
Here is a picture of the first few boards of hardwood. I'm really happy with it and thing it is going to look fantastic when it is done!
